Skin Cancer Day Surgery has a comprehensive infection prevention and control program in place. Our facility and staff are regularly audited for compliance with national infection prevention and control guidelines, Australian Commission of Safety and Quality in Healthcare (ACSQHC) and the NSQHS Standards. These include, but are not limited to:

• AS 5369: 2023 – Reprocessing of reusable medical devices and other devices in health and non-health related facilities

• ACORN Standards for Perioperative Nursing 16th Edition

• NHMRC – Australian Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Infection (2019)

• Hand Hygiene

• Aseptic technique
